Watch the Rockets Song
The perfect song for a solar system or space unit.
I simply cut up magazines to make the song pictures to prompt children to join in and memorize the words.

Ocean Life Unit
Here are shelf works that represent the many choices we have in our Ocean Unit.
I am a collector of nature objects and turn them into works for the students.
I taught Montessori in Baltimore for years and collected much of this unit then.
Now in Nebraska, our land locked kids find these creatures amazing.
I envy you who are near an ocean. Take advantage of it to collect creatures and create matching cards, vocabulary cards, and hands on lessons. Most of us can find shells to match to cards, or at least a plastic crab from a party store.
Helpful sites to start your biology specimen unit:
Toys R Us has a nice collection of bugs in resin
Become a collector of nature and build a unique science area for your pupils. My past students have often told me that these science experiences are what they remember the most from my Montessori school. It leaves a lasting impression!
